Club Activities

The club prides itself on offering a varied programme of training with BHS and BE approved coaches who encourage and support riders at each stage of their journey.  A number of venues  which offer suitable facilities are used across our local area and a little further afield.

The club runs a Summer Dressage League offering a low key, friendly and supportive environment. 

The club's flagship Pink dressage in aid of Cancer Research UK ran in 2024, raising £700.  Sadly in 2025 the dramatic change in weather forced its cancellation, but there are plans to run in 2026 at an earlier date.   
 

With a set of Jump for Joy jumps and a strong membership base, the committee hope to use them more for competitions, clear round and maybe Combined Training.  
 

Members are encouraged to represent the club at Area competitions and have enjoyed success at Area Dressage with team and individual placings.
 

There is an opportunity to qualify for National Championships subject to being eligible and acquiring an annual pass.  Details can be obtained from the Secretary secwsrc23@gmail.com.  

At West Somerset Riding Club, we believe in building friendships both in and out of the saddle. Our regular unmounted social events give members the chance to get to know each other in a relaxed setting, based around an equestrian theme and usually involving cake!
